White Arrows

White Arrows is a psych-pop group from Los Angeles, California. The band consists of Mickey Church, Andrew Naeve, John Paul Caballero and Jake Nielsen. They formed in 2011.

History

White Arrows, a psychedelic pop band, began on a whim when writing a song in New York that immediately got attention from blogs including Nylon magazine. Mickey never thought of being in a band or playing music before this, but after getting such immediate attention it was difficult to not take advantage. Soon thereafter, Mickey took the name to Los Angeles to form the band with Andrew Naeve, John Paul Caballero, Steven Vernet, and his younger brother Henry. Mickey and Andrew began writing, producing and remixing music together. Not long after, White Arrows began touring the world. Since their debut tour with Cults, they have toured with many other bands, including White Denim, The Naked and Famous, !!!, Santigold and The Neighbourhood.

List of The Price Is Right pricing games

Pricing games are featured on the current version of the American game show The Price Is Right. The contestant from Contestants' Row who bids closest to the price of a prize without going over wins the prize and has the chance to win additional prizes or cash in an onstage game. After the pricing game ends, a new contestant is selected for Contestants' Row and the process is repeated. Six pricing games are played on each hour-long episode. Prior to expanding to one hour in length, three games per episode were played during the half-hour format. With the exception of a single game from early in the show's history, only one contestant at a time is involved in a pricing game.

A total of 108 pricing games have been played on the show, 75 of which are in the current rotation. On a typical hour-long episode, two games—one in each half of the show—will be played for a car, at most one game will be played for a cash prize and the other games will offer merchandise or trips. Usually, one of the six games will involve grocery products, while another will involve smaller prizes that can be used to win a larger prize package.

The Price Is Right

The Price Is Right is a television game show franchise originally produced by Mark Goodson and Bill Todman, and created by Bob Stewart, and is currently produced and owned by FremantleMedia. The franchise centers on television game shows, but also includes merchandise such as video games, printed media and board games. The franchise began in 1956 as a television game show hosted by Bill Cullen and was revamped in 1972. This version was originally hosted by Bob Barker. Since 2007, Drew Carey has hosted the program.

In the show, contestants compete to win cash and prizes by guessing the pricing of merchandise. The program has been critically successful and remains a stalwart in the television ratings. It also managed to break away from the quiz show format that has been used in other game shows. Since the current version premiered, it has also been adapted in several international formats around the world, most notably in the United Kingdom, Australia and Mexico.

In 2013, TV Guide ranked it #5 in its list of the 60 greatest game shows ever.
